Eagle Scout Program
There are three Marine Corps League detachments which support the North East Illinois Council, BSA. Lake County Detachment 801 serves most of the county. If your troop meets in the SW corner of Lake County (south and west of routes 60 and 83) please contact the Tri-County Leathernecks Detachment 1395 - Bruce Johnson at (847) 812-9163. If your troop meets in suburban Cook County, please contact the Northwest Suburban Detachment 80 – Robert Stack at (847) 567-4318. If your troop meets in McHenry County, contact Tony Arnone (847) 736-4570 with the McHenry County Detachment 1009.
Our detachment supports the Youth Protection Policy of the Boy Scouts of America. Only parents orlegal guardians should call or correspondence with us, not the Eagle Scout. The on-line request form (below) must be completed by parents, not troop leaders. One request per Eagle Scout.
We also recognize Girl Scout Gold Award recipients.
How to Schedule Our Presentation
The calendar shown below reflects the dates and times when the Lake County Detachment 801 is available. Ideally, we would like to see our MCL presenter travel from a 1:00 pm event to a 3:30 pm making both presentations. Other dates and times are negotiable so please call.
